The activity went beyond theidea of identification and preservation, beingvaluable by itself, and has successfully become theintegrated part of a democratic process which isaiming at the enhancement of overall standard oflife through participation of every member of thepublic.Architectural heritage strengthens ourunderstanding about our social development. Via itsidentification and preservation we are able to betterdetermine our place in the world. The fortress wall has resisted the time and along with the expansion of the town it hasbecome the part of its structure.In Signaghi architecture there are elementscharacteristic solely for this town: unlike Tbilsi,Signaghi has no courtyards with balconiessurrounding them from all sides.
