Remotely recording and playingmessagesAlarm voice and restore messagesThe remote access menu allows you to recordand playback alarm (and restore) voice messages1 - 8 (plus site message) through yourtelephone handset. These are the messagesthat are sent to registered contacts whenalarm conditions occur.Note: The ‘Remote Access’ option must beset to ON. See ‘Programming menu > SystemOptions > Remote Options > Remote Access’.TO RECORD/PLAY A VOICE ALARM/RESTOREMESSAGE1 Establish a remote access connectionwith the SD-GSM, as discussed earlier withinthis section.2 Select the required options, as follows:• To record an alarm voice message:Press 4 followed by the voice messagenumber * 1 to 8 on your telephone. You will heara short beep. Talk clearly into your telephonehandset. Press 0 to stop recording.• To play an alarm voice message: Press4 followed by the voice message number 1 to8 on your telephone. The selected messagewill be played back through your telephonehandset. If necessary, press 0 to stop playback.• To record an alarm restore message:Press 5 followed by the restore messagenumber * 1 to 8 on your telephone. You will heara short beep. Talk clearly into your telephonehandset. Press 0 to stop recording.• To play an alarm restore message:Press 5 followed by the restore messagenumber 1 to 8 on your telephone. The selectedmessage will be played back throughyour telephone handset. If necessary, press 0to stop playback.3 Use your telephone to select otherremote access commands or press # to hangupthe connection with the SD-GSM.Memo messagesThe remote access menu allows you to recordand playback a memo message through yourtelephone handset. The memo message canthen be re-played by another remote user ordirectly from the SD-GSM unit.Note: The ‘Remote Access’ option must beset to ON.
