ClearghipqrsabcjkltuvdefmnowxyzIntroductionThe SD-GSM Speech Dialler provides a meansof communicating information to fixed andmobile telephones. You can either connectthe SD-GSM to an alarm control panel (takingadvantage of its power supply and batterybackup) or use the SD-GSM in a standalonerole.Main featuresTriggersThe SD-GSM has eight trigger inputs and youcan assign a voice message and/or a textmessage to each input. The unit can also senda voice message and/or a text message whenthe triggers have been restored.For most applications you would normallyconnect the trigger inputs to the communicatoroutputs (or bell output) of an alarm controlpanel. However, you can also connect otherdevices, such as smoke detectors or temperaturesensors directly to the trigger inputs.The unit allows you to program the polarity ofthe trigger inputs as either positive or negativeapplied/removed.ContactsThe SD-GSM allows you to store up to 10contacts: you can assign each one a name,telephone number, message type, and acknowledgementtype.IMPORTANT: DO NOT use the SD-GSM to callthe Police via the emergency services phonenumbers.Voice MessagesThe SD-GSM has a built-in microphone andspeaker to allow you to record and replayaudio messages directly from the unit.The SD-GSM can store up to eight separatealarm messages, eight restore alarm messages(a different message can be sent whenthe trigger event has been removed) and onecommon message (normally used to storethe name and address of the premises). Eachmessage can be up to 30 seconds in length.Text MessagesThe SD-GSM can also send text messages tomobile telephones using the SMS text service(Short Message Service).
