Welcome Reception<br />

Sunday, 30 May (Free of charge)<br />

The official welcome reception of <strong>FISITA</strong> <strong>2010</strong> will be held in the<br />

GlobeHall at University <strong>Congress</strong> Center (UCC). All participants of<br />

the congress - delegates, exhibitors and accompanying persons -<br />

are invited to attend the official opening of <strong>FISITA</strong> <strong>2010</strong>. While you<br />

are enjoying a typical Hungarian evening you can meet your fellow<br />

participants. You can also pick up your congress badge at the<br />

registration desk.<br />

Congess Concert<br />

Monday, 31 May (Free of charge)<br />

This organ concert has been arranged exclusively for participants of the<br />

congress at St. Stephen’s Basilica in the city centre. The Basilica is one of<br />

Hungary`s most beautiful and most significant churches. It was named after<br />

the first King of Hungary whose incorruptible right hand is housed in the<br />

reliquary. The neoclassical building at 96 metres high is one of the tallest<br />

in Budapest and its southern tower accommodates Hungary`s biggest bell<br />

weighing over 9 tonnes.<br />

Gala Dinner<br />

Wednesday, 2 June (Price 130 EUR per person including VAT)<br />

The official gala dinner of <strong>FISITA</strong> <strong>2010</strong> will be held at the Museum of Fine<br />

Arts. The millenary session of the Hungarian Parliament in 1896 passed<br />

a law whereby art collections previously held in different institutions were<br />

to brought together and placed in the newly-established Museum of<br />

Fine Arts. The Museum opened in 1906 and its collection is made up of<br />

international art including all periods of European art, and comprises<br />

more than 100,000 pieces.<br />

Farewell Reception<br />

Thursday, 3 June (Free of charge)<br />

All participants are invited to attend the Farewell reception (UCC) where you<br />

can reflect on your experience in Budapest and make plans to keep in touch<br />

with new friends.<br />
