Daily e-Newsletter5 editions of the Daily My <strong>ESC</strong> News were emailed to more than 83 000 people.The average open rate w<strong>as</strong> around 20%, and the average click rate 6.1%.<strong>ESC</strong> Studio<strong>ESC</strong> Studio is a project which w<strong>as</strong> first initiated for <strong>ESC</strong> <strong>Congress</strong> 2011 and taken on again for<strong>ESC</strong> <strong>Congress</strong> <strong>2012</strong> in Munich. <strong>ESC</strong> Studio is a project made up of interviews, discussions andtestimonials for upcoming congresses. All of these were carried out by Cardiologists for Cardiologists.‣ Objectives of this new initiative:- Promotion of subspecialties- Give <strong>ESC</strong> Cardiologists of Tomorrow (CoT) better visibility- Show presence of leadership to <strong>ESC</strong> members- Produce content for the general promotion of <strong>ESC</strong> for throughout the year- Produce content for <strong>ESC</strong> <strong>Congress</strong> 365‣ <strong>ESC</strong> Studio characteristics- Located in the <strong>ESC</strong> Plaza (within the National Cardiac Societies)- 45 m² equipped with camer<strong>as</strong>, chairs, microphones and professional lighting, and a largebackground green key wall - laid out <strong>as</strong> a real television studio- Staff: in the Studio: 2 cameramen, 1 technical director, 1 medical journalist; Behind thescenes: 1 director, 2 technicians- Open and fully functioning during <strong>ESC</strong> <strong>Congress</strong> from Saturday 25 August until Tuesday 28August‣ The project consisted of 2 sub-projects:<strong>ESC</strong> StudioGeneral and educational topics including interviews and discussions- Result: 51 videos in total- Prof Jeroen Bax and Prof Steen Kristensen <strong>as</strong> editors in chiefCardioStars.TVInterviews of top cardiologists by Cardiologists of Tomorrow (CoT)- Result: 7 videos in total- Dr Ricardo Carvalho Goncalves <strong>as</strong> editor in chief‣ Achievements- A total of 58 topics handled- 29 hours of recording for a result of approximately 9 hours videos- 22 <strong>ESC</strong> Board members (<strong>ESC</strong> Board 2010-2014) participated‣ Perspectives- Final editing & use of the content, videos, during the next months- Promotion of <strong>ESC</strong> <strong>Congress</strong> within <strong>ESC</strong> <strong>Congress</strong> 365- Cover scientific content during <strong>ESC</strong> <strong>Congress</strong> (Hot Lines, close work with press andspokespersons, etc.) to be published on the <strong>ESC</strong> Web site on the same day- Create promotional material for all specialty congresses (testimonials, vox pops, …)- Incre<strong>as</strong>e visibility to the delegates on site <strong>as</strong> well <strong>as</strong> online (better possibilities for anaudience)- Have better tools for project management leading up to the <strong>Congress</strong> to improve our editorialmanagement (e.g. tool could be File Maker Pro)- Improve final result of videos (better use of the green key wall)47
