Using the JAVA ConsoleJAVA Console RequirementsThe JAVA Console has the following requirements:1. You must run the <strong>SNMPc</strong> Server under Windows Vista, NT, XP, 2000 or 2003.2. The <strong>SNMPc</strong> JAVA Console was compiled using JAVA version 1.5.0. You should install this, or amore recent, version of the JAVA runtime on the remote client before trying to run the consoleapplet.3. You must run a WEB Server on the <strong>SNMPc</strong> Enterprise server system. This is not included with<strong>SNMPc</strong>.Installing and Using the JAVA ConsolePerform the following steps to install and use the JAVA Console:Step 1: Install and enable a WEB Server application (not included with <strong>SNMPc</strong>).Step 2: Create a directory for the JAVA Console components that is accessible to your WEB Server.Step 3: Copy the following JAVA Console components to the directory created in step 2 above:\java\crc.jar\java\default.html\java\manualwhere is the <strong>SNMPc</strong> installation directory. Manual is a directory and contains all of theonline documentation in HTML format.Step 4: Using a WEB Browser from any system, enter the URL for the <strong>SNMPc</strong> JAVA Console startuppage as follows:http://a.b.c.d/snmpcjavadir/default.htmlwhere a.b.c.d is the IP address of the <strong>SNMPc</strong> server system and snmpcjavadir is the directory whereyou placed the JAVA Console components. The JAVA Console will be executed inside the WEBbrowser.38
