Статутовий комітет,очолюваний Омеляном Єренюком, представив підсумки їхньої праці.Перероблений Сатут буде представлений на осінніх єпархіяльних нарадах.Для забезпечення плодовитих дискусій категорично необхідне ознайомленняз Керівними принципами Біблійних студій.Фінансовий управитель Моріс Лябель звітував, що адміністрація зумілапрацювати в рамках затвердженого бюджету, але через повільність деякихпарафій у сплаті парафіяльної вкладки та незадовільний відгук на закликпро пожертви на покриття кошту за нову митрополичу резиденцію тощо,—бюджет продовжує бути викликом.Голова Комітету Єпископського дослідження Ярослав Луцюк поінформував,що буде відправлено листа від нашого Митрополита до ПатріярхаКонстантинополя, повідомляючого його про наш сучасний стан церковнихсправ. Цей комітет продовжує старанно працювати для виконання покладенихна нього обов'язків. Єпископський пошук в процесі, але потрібнобільше часу ніж передбачалося спочатку.Представник Спільного комітету УПЦК/СУС пані Стефанія Шпитковськаподала підсумки діяльності цього комітету. Вона сказала, що по більшихмістах буде збиратися так звана Фокусна група (20-40 років віком).Вже запропонована капелянська програма для всіх рівнів СУС-у, університетів,літніх відпочинкових осель тощо. Відчутний добрий поступ і всічлени комітету переконані, що цю працю треба продовжувати.Літургічна комісія, головою якої є о. Григорій Мельник, звітувала пропрацю над двомовним Служебником, Чином Похорону і іншими літургічнимикнижками з наступним випуском їх в майбутньому році.Постійна комісія Між-Церковних зв'язків, під головуванням о. Ігоря Куташапоінформувала, що члени комісії брали участь у різноманітних засіданнях.Вони підготували цінний документ про становище УПЦК щодооб'єднання Церков в Україні.Комітет позаміських (фармерських) парафіяльних справ, голова ІгорОхрімчук, звітував про продовження праці, яку вони проводять на приготовленияокреслень відмінного статусу парафій (активна, неактивна, історична).Вони проводять дослідження питання парафіяльних цвинтарів.Комітет також старається виробити правило на закриття парафій. Було зауважено,що є різниця між фармерськими парафіями і тими, що в малихприміських громадах з потребами і сприятливими можливостями.Комітет Розвитку духовенства, д-р Петро Кондра голова, у свойому звітіпідкреслив, що найбільшим викликом є знаходження відповідних фондівдля введення програм у життя.Постійний комітет Релігієзнавства і Спадковості, очолюваний д-р ОлександромСавчук, звітував, що члени спокійні за свої фінасові ресурси. Працякомітету в основному виконується на довровільній волюнтерській основій прогресує. На вересень 2007 р. заплановано провести практичний семінарЦерковної школи. В даний час комітет переглядає навчальну програму«10 Заповідей Божих», а опісля переглядатиме серію «Наша Віра».(далі буде)(continued from p.3)Friday, May 11th, began with informational sessions. The By-laws Committee,chaired by Emil Yereniuk presented a summary of their work to date. The newrevised bylaws will be presented at the Fall Diocesan Meetings. In order that discussionswould be fruitful familiarization with the 'Guiding Principles' BibleStudy is imperative.Finance Manager Maurice Labelle reported that the administration has able tomaintain a balanced budget, but due to the tardiness of certain parishes in submittingtheir levy payments, the weak response to the appeal for donations tocover the cost of the new Metropolitan's residence, etc. this continues to be challenge.The Episcopal Search and Development Committee, chaired by Mr. YaroslavLuciuk, reported that a letter will be sent to the Patriarch of Constantinople fromour Metropolitan, informing him as to the current state of our ecclesiasticalaffairs. This committee continues to work diligently to fulfill its mandate. Thereis a process in place for Episcopal selection, but this process is taking more timethan was first anticipated.The UOCC/USRL Joint Standing Committee, presented by Mrs. StephaniaSpytkowsky, gave a summary of its activities. Focus groups (20-40 year old) willbe conducted in major cities. A chaplaincy program for all levels of USRL, universities,camps, etc. is also being proposed. The committee reflected at theirMarch meeting on how their work has progressed. Much progress has been madeand all committee members are convinced that this work must continue.The Liturgical Commission, chaired by Fr. Gregory Mielnik reported thatwork is ongoing on the Priest's Service Book, Funeral Book and other liturgicalbooks, with publication expected during the coming year.The Standing Commission on Inter-Church & Ecumenical Relations, chairedby Very Rev. Fr. Ihor Kutash reported that members have taken part in variousmeetings. They have produced an important position paper for the UOCC on theunity of Churches in Ukraine.The Rural Issues Committee, chaired by Fr. Ihor Okhrimtchouk, reported onthe continuing work they are doing creating definitions for the various status ofparishes (active, inactive, heritage, etc). They are researching the subject of ParishCemeteries. The committee is also trying to define a policy for parish closures. Itwas noted that there is a difference between rural parishes and parishes in smallurban communities with regards to needs and opportunities.The Clergy Development Committee, chaired by Dr. Peter Kondra stated thattheir greatest challenge is finding adequate funding to initiate programs.The Standing Committee for Christian and Heritage Education, chaired byDr. Sandra Sawchuk, reported that they are securing financial resources for theirwork. The work is being done mostly on a volunteer basis and is progressing. AChurch School Workshop is being planned for September of 2007.
