instructions below, to access the RetrievalWare Administration (RWA) Wizard<br />

and set up a library.<br />

1. If the RetrievalWare Administration servers are not running, start them by<br />

accessing the <strong>System</strong> Utilities menu and select the following options:<br />

– Administration Servers - Start/Stop/Restart/Status (option 2).<br />

– Start servers in background (option 3).<br />

2. Enter the following URL in a browser to start the RWA Wizard:<br />

http:///rware/home.html<br />

3. Log into the RWA Wizard in the lower portion of the screen.<br />

a. Enter a user name and any password. (Security is not turned on, so the<br />

password does not matter.)<br />

b. Select Other for working directory, and enter the path to the<br />

windchill_indexes working directory that you installed with the<br />

wt.index.setup.RwareWorkDirInstaller utility.<br />

c. Click Login.<br />

4. Click Library Setup.<br />

5. Click Set up a new library to open the Library Setup Checklist, and complete<br />

the following information on the designated pages. (You can skip Configure<br />

Fields and Specify Files to Index.)<br />

– Name the Library<br />

• Enter a user-friendly name, a description, and an owner.<br />

– Set Library Parameter<br />

If the library’s default language is not English, select the check box<br />

labeled Allow 8 bit characters to be indexed (near the bottom of the<br />

page). Skip the other fields and click Save.<br />

– Set Default Language for Library<br />

Set the language to be used when indexing and querying for documents.<br />

Each language plug-in that you have installed is offered as a choice. For<br />

more information on language plug-ins, see the Convera RetrievalWare<br />

Language Plug-ins Toolkit <strong>Guide</strong>.<br />

Write this Library Setup to the Configuration File<br />

After you click this link, click Save Settings & Return to the Library Setup<br />

Menu to reopen the RetrievalWare library Setup Wizard.<br />

6. Click I'm done, to open the RWA Wizards where you can configure search<br />

and index servers for the new library.<br />
