30rant owners were interviewed to get their perspective on operating environment of thebusiness. As all of them anonymously didn’t want to disclose name they are referredas owner A, B, C <strong>and</strong> owner D. Interview was conducted during one week period inlast week of November in their own <strong>restaurant</strong>. In average, an interview lasted anhour. Structured interview questionnaire (as per appendix 3) was used for this purpose.Questions were set in advance so that it would produce data to analyze currentoperating situation of <strong>ethnic</strong> <strong>restaurant</strong> in Varkaus.4.2. Result from Quantitative ResearchAs mentioned in earlier, questionnaire survey as per appendix 1 <strong>and</strong> 2 (Appendix 1 inFinnish & Appendix 2 in English) was carried out as part of quantitative researchmethod to collect data. By surveying, market feasibility <strong>and</strong> consumer preferenceswere studied. Result of the study is presented in details in this section.4.2.1. Background Variables of RespondentsOf the total respondents, 52 percent were female <strong>and</strong> rests were male. <strong>Age</strong> wise,higher numbers of respondents were from 21-30 years age group. People with 31-40age groups were second higher respondents with 15 percent of total respondents.Mostly in all age groups female respondents were high in number except 21-30where male respondents were 20 percent <strong>and</strong> female respondents were 15 percent.In 41-50 years age group also male respondents were just one percent higher thanfemale respondents. The age <strong>and</strong> gender distribution of sample is shown in figure 4.
