Faculty Matters Summer 2012
forwardthinking
ideas, research and innovation at UOpX
Gailene Nelson, ALE team lead
continued from page 53
a better life. They enroll to get credentials
so they can get a job, a better job, or a
raise. What we want to do with ALE is to
provide the opportunity for each student
to be successful at his or her goals at his
or her own skill level. The ALE is a GPS of
sorts, keeping the students guided and
on track to reach their end goal. Being
able to guide and track every student that
comes in the door is our aim.
Marla I know you welcome input
from faculty. Where should they send
comments and questions?
Gailene We have many ideas about
how we can help improve learning
outcomes for students, but if there are
other ways we can make processes and
workflows more efficient for faculty, I’m
very interested in hearing those as well.
You can send questions, comments and
feedback to me at Gailene.Nelson@
