One of the most interesting club sessions was ourvisit to the Goethe-Institut, the official German cultural institute, where students received a tour around the groundsof the cultural centre and learned about the German cultureand studying in Germany. Another exciting club sessionwas when students walked around the Old Town ofNicosia and visited various churches of different religions. The highlight of the visit was meeting Father John of SaintPaul‘s Anglican Church who warmly greeted the students and talked about the Anglican Churchand the history of the cathedral. During other club sessions that took place in school, our studentsused their skills and experiences to create collages about culture and were given the opportunityto watch European and famous Bollywood films and later discussed them in relation totheir own culture and globalization. Our club focused on the notion of multiculturalism and theimportance of accepting and being sensitive towards people of different backgrounds.29
