Asukoht
Jägala jõgi, mis Soome lahte suubudes läbib Kehra
linna, annab umbes 3000 elanikuga linnale tema
põhilise karakteri. Linnapildis on vesi siiski igas
mõttes tagaplaanile jäänud ning linnaruum on
arenenud pigem põhiliste liiklussõlmede ümber
kui looduskauni jõe äärde.
Uus planeeritav korterelamu loob sealsetele uutele
asukatele ning ehk ka terve ala elanikele täiesti
uue tunnetuse elust vee ääres.
Inspiratsiooni on saadud jõe käänulisest dünaamikast,
kaldareljeefi astmelisusest ning lummavatest
vaadetest, mis avanevad piki veepiiri
lõunasse.

Location
The main character to the town of Kehra is given
by River Jägala flowing through the town and
into the Bay of Finland. However, the river is still
not prioritized on the urban scale and the town
with 3000 inhabitants has mainly developed
around important traffic intersections rather than
the beautiful river.
The new planned apartment building gives the
tenants a thoroughly new sense of living on the
edge of water.
Inspiration is obtained from the dynamism of the
river, the gradual terrain of the shore and fascinating
views opening along the water to the south.
