Eesti Kunstiakadeemia arhitektuuri ja linnaplaneerimise<br />
eriala IV kursuse üliõpilaste<br />
2011.-2012. õppeaasta kahe semestri<br />
töid käsitlevat kogumikku avaldatakse<br />
juba kolmandat aastat. Ja nagu varemgi on<br />
magistrikursuse esimese semestri ülesandeks<br />
omavalikulise asukohaga elurajooni<br />
planeeringu grupitöö, millele kevadsemestril<br />
järgneb varasemale planeeringule põhineva<br />
elamisüksuse individuaalselt lahendatav<br />
projekt. Varasemad kaks kogumikku<br />
olid pühendatud selgelt etteantud programmilistele<br />
teemadele, esimene Tallinna linna<br />
sisealade tihendamise võimalustele, teine<br />
aga Tallinnaga ühistranspordiga (rongi<br />
ja tulevikutrammiga) ühendatud lähialade<br />
rehabiliteerimisele. Käesoleva kogumiku<br />
teemaks kujunes varasemate kogumike temaatikate<br />
„järelnope“, s.t. liiguti jätkuvalt<br />
nii Tallinna linnasiseses äärealas kui ka<br />
lähivaldades ning teemat võib üldistatult<br />
kokku võtta kui liikumist Tallinna orbiidil.<br />
Kuivõrd aga orbiidil liikumine tähendas<br />
põhiliselt linna servaalasid või servast<br />
The collection of the works by the fourthyear<br />
students of the Department of Architecture<br />
and Urban Design of the Estonian<br />
Academy of Arts completed during the<br />
academic year of 2011-2012 is published already<br />
for the third year. As before, the assignment<br />
of the first term of the MA course<br />
is a group work of planning a residential<br />
area in a location of their own choice, followed<br />
by an individual continuation of the<br />
project including a residential unit based<br />
on the earlier planning. The two previous<br />
collections were mostly concerned with<br />
prescribed program topics with the first focussing<br />
on the possibilities of compressing<br />
the inner areas of Tallinn and the latter<br />
on rehabilitating the nearby areas linked<br />
with Tallinn by the public transportation<br />
(railway and future tram links). The topic<br />
of the present collection could be described<br />
as a kind of a gleaning of the themes of the<br />
earlier compilations, i.e. the students were<br />
still concerned with the rural-urban fringe<br />
and the adjacent municipalities of Tallinn,<br />
and thus the topic may be summed up as<br />
Orbiting Tallinn.<br />
