COMMUNITY --- WHERE WE LIVE
VILLAGE OF LAKE ORION
The Heart & Hub of
the Orion Community
for downtown living and new businesses
continues to grow!
DISTINCT DOWNTOWN Lake
Orion’s historic downtown district is
filled with distinctive architecture,
locally owned shops, a pedestrianfriendly
environment and a sense
of community. Visitors will find
charming boutiques, first-rate
restaurants and service businesses
that offer enjoyable shopping and
dining experiences. Downtown has
a strong vision for the future. There
is a need for additional commercial
and mixed-use space as the demand
THINGS TO DO Recreational opportunities
are within walking distance with six public
parks, including Green’s Park on 500-
acre Lake Orion and downtown’s favorite
Children’s Park, home to numerous events
such as the annual Gazebo Concert Series,
popular Halloween celebration and Farmers’
Market. The area also features two major
trail systems: the Polly Ann (14 miles) and
Paint Creek Trails (9 miles). In fact, Lake
Orion is one of the few significant trail
system hubs with connections to the north/
south and east/west Michigan trail system.
WHY LAKE ORION After a $2 million
investment to convert the old village hall and
police department into the second location of
Lockhart’s BBQ, owner Drew Ciora had this to
say: “As a longtime resident of Lake Orion, I
have always wanted to locate my restaurant
in the Village of Lake Orion. The downtown is
vibrant and a great gathering place for everyone.
Walking through the Village and enjoying
the local shops and restaurants is always a
good time. I am excited to be able to open
Lockhart’s BBQ in such a great community.”
