Heaven on Ice You know it’s winter
when the Lockwood family’s
backyard in Bloomfield Hills is
transformed into a skating rink.
For 15 years, dad Joe Lockwood,
who played hockey for the
University of Michigan in the
1980s, has been creating the rink
for his four kids. His son, Will,
follows in dad’s footsteps when he
becomes a freshman and hockey
team member in Ann Arbor come
fall 2016. In the meantime, it’s not
all sticks and pucks. Sometimes
you’ve just got to make snow
angels — as Scotty Lockwood
and sister Aiden, who plays house
hockey for the Oakland Bears,
demonstrate here.
