Addison Oaks and Groveland Oaks campgrounds offer advance
reservations for individual and group modern campsites, cabins and
yurts. Hike the trails, fish, swim, slide down waterslides, pedal boat, ride
bikes, play baseball or volleyball, enjoy the playgrounds, zoom across
the new zip line and be entertained by award-winning campground
recreation programs.
SHOP LOCAL
Oakland County Market is a mainstay for providing grower-direct fresh
produce and flowers to county residents and visitors. The market hosts
more than 140 farmers and artisans, representing 17 Michigan counties
and offers special events and educational programs.
PUT YOUR BARK IN OUR PARK
Canines can run and frolic off-leash year-round at Lyon Oaks, Orion
Oaks and Red Oaks dog parks. Orion Oaks features a dogs-only
swimming beach. Educational and recreational events are held
throughout the year.
Reserve a dog park area or the pavilion at Orion Oaks Dog Park for a
private party, a tail-wagging doggie group get-together or dog club event!
TRY BMX
The fast-paced sport of Bicycle Motocross racing is a great
competitive activity for all ages and skill levels. The .25-mile
championship Waterford Oaks track hosts state and national races, as
well as beginner clinics and open rides for people newer to the sport.
Group rates are available for birthday parties and other outings.
GET OUT ON THE GREEN
Make time for golf at five scenic golf courses: Glen Oaks, Lyon Oaks,
Red Oaks, Springfield Oaks or White Lake Oaks. Join a league, perfect
your game with a lesson or sign up for a special event. There are
golfing options for everyone — youth, adults and individuals with
disabilities. Adaptive equipment is available.
Try FootGolf, which combines the popular sports of soccer and golf, at
Red Oaks Golf Course — accredited by the American FootGolf League.
The nine-hole Red Oaks FootGolf Course is built within the nine of
the Red Oaks Golf Course — and is designed for simultaneous play of
both traditional golf and FootGolf.
NURTURE A LOVE OF NATURE
Adults and children of all ages can explore the natural world yearround
at Wint and Red Oaks nature centers. Creative educational
programs are conducted year-round by natural resources staff.
Community outreach and specialized nature programs include
StarLab, Nature Discovery, bird counts and Scout Badge Day. Both
nature centers offer nature-themed birthday party packages!
Environmental stewardship and wildlife classes are also offered.
