Fantastic Festivals The Lyon Township Kite Festival at James F. Atchison<br />
Memorial Park in New Hudson gives everyone a chance to be a kid again, with<br />
music, food, fun and games for children, and of course, kite flying including<br />
demos by professionals. Above, the Michigan Renaissance Festival held<br />
weekends and Labor Day from late August to early October in Groveland<br />
Township takes attendees on a time-travel adventure into the 16th century.<br />
A 17-acre village complete with building reproductions of Renaissance shops,<br />
taverns and a castle provide the backdrop for themed stages and events<br />
including full-contact armored jousting, comedy and theater shows, music,<br />
games, food, artisans displaying their wares and much more.<br />
