Is it important to save the human species?
In a few bilion years the Sun wil turn the Earth
into a piece of coal. Humankind is working very
hard to achieve it within a thousand years.
In the era in which these words are writen, the sun
is providing us with the perfect energy to survive
and thrive. A litle less, and we would be frozen. A
litle more, and we would evaporate.
This is the perfect era for our species. Most people
believe that this is how it’s going to be forever. But,
like the human species, stars don’t live forever. The
length of their lives is determined by their mass.
The sun has already lived for 4.6 bilion years. She
is in her best years now and has few bilion years
left to lighten up our sky and to keep our bodies
warm.
After that, the sun wil enter the autumn of her life
and grow into a red giant. She wil swalow Mercury,
then Venus, then Earth.
