The Yoga Girl
I shall start this article by firstly
admitting defeat, my rebellion
against streaming services has now
come to an end. Being an avid yoga
enthusiast, once I found that Anjuna
Beats had this concept of music
playlists for the sessions, I just had
to check it out. So hello Spotify.
"We gathered, strengthened, listened
and received the gift of quiet. We
landed at home in our own hearts."
Further inspired by the set, they have
now created the compilation of
chilled atmospheric sounds via the
form of a Spotify playlist. 3 hours and
20 minutes of beautiful, melodic and
motivating music.
The essence of contentment
and a relaxed mind are
harnessed in the sounds.
From a subdued 'Immunity'
by Jon Hopkins, to the
more energetic 'If Only' by
Dusky, through to the
thought-provoking and
rhythmic 'Someday' by Virgil
Howe.
As it turns out, Anjuna HQ have yoga
sessions each Tuesday and Above &
Beyond have delved into music for
yoga sessions.
In 2014 they released the Robot
Heart Yoga set after their yoga
practices in Black Rock
City.
