Yeah it was wicked thanks - I took
the audience on a bit of a journey
- I started off mega deep and slowly
raised the intensity playing
through a range of emotions, I am
always careful to include a
crescendo into my sets. DJ rule
#4447 = always somehow build to
keep the audience engaged.
If you could put it down in a few
sentences, what makes a great DJ?
ADAPTABILITY - Reading a room. I
think to be a true DJ, you have to
have spent most of your life
listening to music to develop the
perfect sense for which record fits
the moment.
and for me the greatest exponent
of 303 on the planet. Mala - dude
is off the chain. Saw him spin after
my set at Dimensions Festival, his
music on the right sound system
(think it was Mungo’s HiFi but don’t
quote me) just slays me. The
combination of depth and
aggression on the right system is
just ill, I would very much like to
watch him again. Also I think my
housemate, Fazzy Fresh has an
amazing music selection, we both
want to do a set b2b picking tracks,
but I mix all the records - I would
actually love that, promoters hit
me up.

in 2016?

Who are your Favourite DJ’s?
Dixon’ has to be my number 1. He
has been my favourite DJ since I
was 20 years old and now to see
him doing so well in the RA polls
and receiving all these accolades
great! I learned a lot as younger DJ
from how he structured sets. Tin
Man (live) is an amazing performer

What would you like to happen for
yourself in 2016?
Achieve grade 1 piano and read
more books. I am having real a
struggle reading ATM, I think too
much time DJing, on Facebook and
producing has warped my
concentration span - I will get it
back though.
