• On hand <strong>in</strong>formation and dynamic l<strong>in</strong>k<strong>in</strong>g of Aadhaar based<br />

Authentication enabled the Common Man to know the genu<strong>in</strong>eness of<br />

the personnel with respect to Tenants, Servants and other Utility<br />

Services. It also helps the Police Officers to have a strict watch over<br />

suspected offenders.<br />

• Traffic Alerts on Traffic Jams, Diversions etc, considerably reduces the<br />

travel time and plan the journey accord<strong>in</strong>gly and also acts as a ready on<br />

hand traffic <strong>in</strong>formation tool for common man.<br />

• Immediate <strong>in</strong>formation to higher officials resulted <strong>in</strong> monitor<strong>in</strong>g the sub<br />

ord<strong>in</strong>ates performance, and thereby improv<strong>in</strong>g the work<strong>in</strong>g efficiency<br />

and result orientation.<br />

• Report of any violation to Police as observed by the Citizens for a<br />

prompt police action resulted <strong>in</strong> build<strong>in</strong>g confidence and trust.<br />

• Crime Notifications and Alerts created a sense of awareness among<br />

general citizens on the crime related happen<strong>in</strong>gs across the city.<br />

• Enhanced Communication across Police Officials improved<br />

transparency.<br />

Specific <strong>in</strong>novative ideas implemented.<br />

• The <strong>in</strong>novative concept of “Broken W<strong>in</strong>dow Theory”, accord<strong>in</strong>g to<br />

which, the Police should be able to provide all possible services to<br />

common man, without visit<strong>in</strong>g police station has lead to a major<br />

paradigm shift <strong>in</strong> polic<strong>in</strong>g. This paved its way towards achiev<strong>in</strong>g its<br />

new objective of “Citizen Friendly Responsive Polic<strong>in</strong>g” and <strong>in</strong> turn<br />

made police more responsible, approachable and reachable to common<br />

man.<br />

Process reeng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g<br />

• Plans have been implemented. [describe both front-end [also referred to<br />

as front-office] and back-end [also known as back-office] process<br />

changes]<br />

• As a part of Citizen Friendly Responsive Polic<strong>in</strong>g, Hyderabad City<br />

Police is swiftly mov<strong>in</strong>g at a high pace towards provid<strong>in</strong>g all services<br />

related to “Non Cognizable Offences” <strong>in</strong> such a way, that a common<br />

man need not visit police station for avail<strong>in</strong>g any of these services.<br />

• Processes such as Report a Violation, Be a Citizen Police (Community<br />

Polic<strong>in</strong>g) also have been successfully changed from manual to onl<strong>in</strong>e<br />

based registrations<br />
