Biographical details:<br />
Mike Hough is Associate Director of the Institute<br />
for Criminal Policy Research (ICPR) and has<br />
been working on the EU-project, Fiducia. He is<br />
also analysing the ‘Trust in Justice’ module in<br />
the 2010 European Social Survey, and working<br />
on an ESRC-funded evaluation of the College<br />
of Policing ‘What Works’. His current research<br />
interests include: procedural justice theory and<br />
public trust in justice, public perceptions of<br />
crime and justice, policing and police legitimacy,<br />
sentencing and sentencing guidelines, offender<br />
rehabilitation and desistance (and its evaluation).<br />

Biographical details:<br />
Dr Saskia Hufnagel (LL.M.) is a qualified German<br />
legal professional and accredited specialist in<br />
criminal law. She currently works as Lecturer<br />
in Criminal Law at Queen Mary University of<br />
London. She previously worked as a Research<br />
Fellow at the Australian Research Council Centre<br />
of Excellence in Policing and Security, Griffith<br />
University, Australia, and was a Leverhulme<br />
Fellow at the University of Leeds. Her main<br />
research areas encompass law enforcement<br />
cooperation in Asia, the EU and Australia,<br />
comparative constitutional law, emergency<br />
management and the policing of art crime.<br />
Her monograph Policing Cooperation Across<br />
Borders (Ashgate) was published in 2013.<br />
