Jerneja Šifrer, M.Sc., is Assistant in statistics<br />

and methodology at the Faculty of Criminal<br />

Justice and Security, University of Maribor.<br />

Her current research interest is the use of<br />

different reliability and validity methods in<br />

criminological research.<br />

David Waddington is Professor of<br />

Communications and Head of the<br />

Communication & Computing Research<br />

Centre at Sheffield Hallam University, where<br />

he has been employed for over 30 years. He<br />

is also a core member of Sheffield Hallam’s<br />

CENTRIC (Centre of Excellence in Terrorism,<br />

Resilience, Intelligence and Organised Crime<br />

Research). His primary research interest is the<br />

policing of public order. Relevant publications<br />

include: Policing Public Order: Theory and<br />

Practice (Willan Publishing, 2007), and Riots:<br />

An International Comparison (with Matthew<br />

Moran, Palgrave Macmillan, 2016).<br />
