Integrated Laboratory (iLab©)<br />

Matlamat kursus bertujuan memperkenalkan pelajar konsep asas makmal melalui<br />

pendekatan yang lebih mencabar, berbeza daripada pengajaran makmal konvensional.<br />

Makmal asas bersepadu ialah gabungan diantara teori dan aplikasi<br />

daripada kurus wajib yang telah dipelajari seperti reka bentuk utiliti dan bekas<br />

tekanan, pemisahan, dinamik dan kawalan proses yang memberi kefahaman<br />

makmal yang lebih jelas. Ia juga akan menguatkan lagi para pelajar dalam<br />

kemahiran komunikasi dan semangat kerja berkumpulan. Pelajar akan bekerja<br />

dalam kumpulan untuk menyediakan laporan makmal dan setiap kumpulan perlu<br />

membuatkan projek pembentangan makmal berkenaan salah satu hasil ujikaji<br />

makmal yang dipilih.<br />

The aim of the course is designed to introduce students to the basic concepts<br />

of laboratory through a more challenging approach, different from conventional<br />

laboratory teaching. Integrated basic laboratory is a combination between theory<br />

and application of compulsory courses that has been studied such as utility<br />

and pressure vessel design, separation, control and dynamic in order to provide<br />

a clearer understanding of related courses. It also will strengthen the communication<br />

skill and teamwork spirit of student. Each student will work in a team to<br />

prepare the laboratory report and each team is required to make a laboratory<br />

presentation project on one of the chosen topics.<br />
