success story. In recent years, Burgenland<br />

in terms of economic and job<br />
growth in Austria. It is a European<br />
model region in the use of renewable<br />
energy and has made significant<br />
advancements in education.<br />
It is also an outstanding tourist<br />
destination. „The sunny side of<br />
Austria“ has plenty of attractions.<br />
A growing number of guests appreciate<br />
what the region has to offer:<br />
the spas in Burgenland, the<br />
diverse cultural, sports and leisure<br />
facilities, a unique nature with the<br />
cross-border national and other<br />
parks and last but not least the international<br />

delicacies. Burgenland<br />

Er wurde 1951 in Zurndorf<br />
geboren und arbeitete als<br />
Lehrer sowie Schuldirektor.<br />
In seiner politischen<br />
Laufbahn war er<br />
Bürgermeister von<br />
Frauenkirchen und<br />
Landtagsabgeordneter.<br />
Seit Dezember 2000 ist<br />
Hans Niessl Landeshauptmann<br />
im Burgenland.<br />
He was born in Zurndorf in<br />
1951 and worked as teacher<br />
as well as headmaster.<br />
During his political career he<br />
was mayor of Frauenkirchen<br />
and member of the Landtag.<br />
Since December 2000, he is<br />
the Governor of Burgenland.<br />
