Dance of Charm originated in<br />
Brazil in the early 1970s. Its<br />
music is based particularly<br />
on American black soul and<br />
funk. Brazilian people developed<br />
the dance style by<br />
gathering together in large<br />
groups and creating specific<br />
choreographies in which to<br />
dance to. The dancers form lines<br />
behind a leader and must follow<br />
the exact steps of<br />
the leader. The aim is that whole<br />
group dances in synchronicity.<br />
