DESCRIPTION
TECHNICAL PAINTING
Stephen PREECE
Historically in the West drawing was
not considered to be an art form
in itself but preparation for more
serious things such as painting and
architecture. Times have of course
changed but we still have much to
learn from our greatest forebears.
This course will feed off past best
past practice whilst linking to todays
needs. Aiming to:
• enhance our drawing skills by
rendering with paint
• study the effects of light and
texture on form
• introduce the learner to an array
of tools and techniques
• study colour in depth
These courses will be practical and
function in a relaxed but serious
learning environment.
They are open to both the beginner
and the experienced learner aged
14 to adult. So both the secondary
student and parent are welcome.
