SECONDARY SCHOOL
Registration
An online inscription form must be submitted to the Music
School Coordinator, Mary Eileen Marie, before any students,
new or returning, may begin lessons. The Music School will
do its best to honour requests for lessons, teachers, days
and times listed on the inscription form. Once a lesson time
and teacher has been accepted by the parents, the Terms and
Conditions of the inscription form are applied.
General Conditions
The financial commitment is for the full year, i.e. September
through June. Only students in year 13 have the option to
stop courses at the end of Term 1 or 2 and will be charged
at a reduced rate based on their registration. No reduction
in fees will be made by the school in case of cancellation
or non-respect of the contract, or in case of any absences,
withdrawal or dismissal of the student. No lessons are given
during school vacations. In the event that a student has to
withdraw from their private music lessons for reasons other
than force majeure the registration will be cancelled only
once another student is available to take the vacated place.
Lessons missed by students cannot be replaced and will
be billed. In case of a student absence due to a conflict between
the scheduled lesson and the scheduling of a mandatory
school curricular activity or exam, the missed lesson will
be replaced. A written request be sent to the Coordinator 2
weeks in advance of the missed lesson to be considered an
Excused Student Absence. In case of a teacher’s absence,
a replacement lesson will be proposed. However, once a replacement
lesson time has been agreed to, the Terms and
Conditions of the inscription form are applied. Refusal of proposed
replacement lessons will not result in reimbursement.
Lessons missed due to a teacher’s absence or to an Excused
Student Absence where replacement lessons were not able
to be given will result in a credit for these lessons. Credits
for all lessons are applied in Term 3.

ABRSM Group Theory Tutoring

Classes. Once a registration has been confirmed, the
Terms and Conditions of the inscription form are applied.
Confirmation of class time for Sing and Strum is based on
student enrolment and level.

150 CHF per term is applied to students who are not enrolled
for private lessons through the Music School. Students
already enrolled in private instrumental lessons through the
Music School are enrolled automatically and is included in
the cost of tuition. Classes are held from September 20,
2016 – June 16, 2017.
SECONDARY SCHOOL | MUSIC
The Music School does not supply instruments. All students
should have an instrument available for regular practice.
To maintain children in a safe environment at school, students
require adult supervision at all times. Primary students
in After School Care will be escorted to and from their private
lessons. All Music School lessons are held on the school
premises.
ABRSM Theory Group Tutoring
150 CHF per term is applied to students who are not enrolled
for private lessons through the Music School. Students
already enrolled in private instrumental lessons through the
Music School are enrolled automatically and is included in the
cost of tuition. Classes are held from October 3, 2016 – May
31, 2017.
Sing & Strum and Percussion Ensemble enrolment is on a
per term basis. Classes are held from September 20, 2016
– June 16, 2017. Shared (two students) Sing and Strum are
considered shared private lessons, please see the Terms and
Conditions for private lessons for more information.
Enrolment in Ensembles and Music Theory classes is on a
per term basis. Students will be automatically re-enrolled at
the start of the next term unless a written intention to with
