The objective of the course is to<br />
provide students with the basis<br />
of Russian grammar, spelling,<br />
punctuation, as well as the<br />
methods of constructions of<br />
words and sentences.<br />
Special attention is given to the<br />
development and perfecting of<br />
writing and reading skills.<br />
Beginning from the 2nd class,<br />
students start writing dictations,<br />
summaries and small essays.<br />
During the literature classes,<br />
students will learn poems<br />
and fables of Russian poets<br />
and classics, read and retell<br />
assigned readings.<br />

This is the group for the beginners,<br />
level 1-2, for Russian speaking<br />
and also for bilingual and trilingual<br />
children.<br />
In the beginning of the year we start<br />
to learn letters from the ABC-book<br />
(the author is Zhukova). Children<br />
learn to read and to write the letters<br />
and some simple words. In our<br />
classes we learn language in game<br />
form. There are a lot of pictures and<br />
funny poems that help children to<br />
remember letters and words.<br />
In the end of the first year students<br />
know all the letters, they can write<br />
them correctly and they can read<br />
phrases and little texts.<br />

The level of lessons corresponds<br />
to that of the 1-2 years of the<br />
Russian school (primary school,<br />
students of 6-8 years)<br />
In our work we try to consider the<br />
particularity of learning Russian for<br />
bilingual and trilingual children and<br />
