draw has been sent to the Music School Coordinator, Mary<br />
Eileen MARIE, before the end of the current term. The last<br />
week of each term is reserved to replace classes due to an<br />
absence of the teacher.<br />
No classes are given during school vacations.<br />
The school reserves the right to cancel an activity in case<br />
of insufficient registration, conflicts with other activities or<br />
logistic problems.<br />
To maintain children in a safe environment at school, students<br />
require adult supervision at all times. Primary students in After<br />
School Care will be escorted to and from their ensemble class.<br />
All Music School classes are held on the school premises.<br />
THE ASSOCIATED BOARD OF THE ROYAL<br />
SCHOOLS OF MUSIC<br />
La Grande Boissière is an examination centre for this worldwide<br />
association. Students may prepare for 9 different levels<br />
of performance tests ranging from the preparatory test, (corresponding<br />
to one year’s study) to performance and teaching<br />
diplomas. An external examiner conducts the tests and<br />
writes detailed comments with suggestions for further improvement.<br />
A certificate is awarded to successful candidates. All instruments<br />
including voice can be presented. Students wishing to<br />
go beyond the level 5 (Grade 5) must pass the corresponding<br />
level in a theory examination. Detailed information is available<br />
on the website: www.abrsm.org<br />
Registrations are submitted approximately three months<br />
ahead of time in consultation with the individual teacher and<br />
the Music School Coordinator. Parents will be billed by the<br />
school for inscription fees paid to the ABRSM. The Music<br />
School will meet all other administration costs for these examinations.<br />
