Model 485COSR is an economical converter that supports both
2-wire and 4-wire RS-485 communications. There is also
provision for constant enable of the receiver during transmit
for full duplex operation.

Model 485TBLED is one of our most popular models with data
traffic LEDs, RS-422/485 support, and either Automatic Send
Data Control or software driver control. Model 485PTBR has a
convenient terminal block that quickly unplugs from the
converter for ease of wiring. Model 485CSP2 features both
surge controlled and fused data lines on the RS-422/485 side
plus all the features of model 485TBLED.

Model 485DSS allows RS-232 devices to be placed on an RS-
422 or RS-485 network and be individually controlled. Put a
converter on each device you wish to contact. A host PC with
RS-422 or RS-485 capability can then connect to each node
using a unique address from 0 to 255. Once a node is selected
and the connection made, any type of monitoring, control or
programming information can be exchanged.
A QuickBASIC demonstration program with source code is
included. RS-232 connector is DB25M, RS-485 connector is a
terminal block. Requires an external 12 VDC power supply.

These converters allow your computer to communicate up to
4,000 feet by converting the RS-232 signal to RS-422. If the
peripheral to be connected has an RS-422 interface, only one
converter is required. If both the data transmitting equipment
and data receiving equipment use only RS-232, then two
converters will be required, one at each end of the data line.
These models all have DB25 female connectors on the RS-232
side and DB25 male connectors on the RS-422 side. Models
422LCOR and 422CFCR require the 422PS external 12 VDC
power supply. Model 422CEC requires the 422PS3 external 12
VDC power supply.
• Model 422LCOR converts two signals and has LEDs to
indicate data traffic.
