FareShare North West was launched in October 2008 to support communities to<br />

combat food poverty and food waste. Community food members provide vitally needed<br />

meals, food parcels and snacks to hundreds of disadvantaged people every day. They<br />

work with a huge variety of people dealing with hardship, people who are homeless,<br />

unemployed, people dealing with substance abuse, the elderly, children, young adults,<br />

refugees and asylum-seekers at drop-ins, residential centres, Surestart centres, and<br />

breakfast and after-school clubs.<br />

FareShare will be happy to provide a job reference for any of its volunteers who are<br />

looking to return to paid work. This is normally after a minimum period of 3 months.<br />

No experience is required but a willingness to work and to learn about the various tasks<br />

and procedures.<br />

Drivers need to be over 25 and have a full UK driving licence with no more than three<br />

penalty points.<br />

You will need to be able to commit yourself to at least one day per week.<br />
