The percent hydrogen versus corrected time plot given in Figure 27 (b) and that of<br />

hydriding with pure H 2 (a) indicates approximately 0.2 % H is absorbed. In the presence<br />

of helium, hydriding occurs in one step similar to the case of pure hydrogen however,<br />

both the rate of uptake and terminal capacity of hydrogen in VTiNi are reduced.<br />
