Ring of Kerry
Our hotel is based in Killarney, Ireland’s most popular tourist resort and is
packed with interesting shops, cafes, restaurants and traditional pubs. The
scenery of Killarney National Park is all around, so you don’t have to travel
far to enjoy lakes, waterfalls and mountains.
Day 1 Early morning departure from our
local pick up area with motorway stops enroute
to Pembroke for our afternoon sailing to
Rosslare. We travel from Rosslare to Waterford
for our overnight stop at the Treacys Hotel.
Day 2 We depart our overnight hotel and
travel to the picturesque village of Blarney. We
take you to Blarney Woollen Mills, an old
converted mill which turned into the biggest
Irish shop in the world, where Irish products
from every county in Ireland can be found.
Names featured include Aran, Guinness,
Waterford Crystal and Belleek Pottery.
Alternatively you can wander round the town
and find Blarney Castle, built over 600 years
ago, Blarney Castle offers leisurely tours and
the chance to relax in its sumptuous, peaceful
gardens. Legend has it that by kissing the
‘blarney stone’ in the tower at the top of the
castle, one can receive the ‘gift of the gab’
(entrance not included – approximately 10
euros per person). In the afternoon, we
continue our journey to Killarney to reach our
main stay hotel for the next four nights. We
arrive in time to relax in our rooms before our
evening meal.
Day 3 Today we have a Guided Tour of Ring
of Kerry, offering some of the wildest natural
scenery in Ireland. The Ring of Kerry is a
circular route around the Iveragh Peninsula
running between Kenmare and Killorglin. It
features traditional villages where time has
stood still, emerald green fields crisscrossed
with dry stone walls, and jaw dropping coastal
scenery.
Day 4 After breakfast today we enjoy the
Killarney Horse & Cart and Boat Ride. Step
back in time and enjoy Irish tradition at its best,
as you take a unique ride in a horse and
carriage to experience some of Killarney’s
many beauty spots. Then we enjoy our
leisurely boat ride before having some free
time in the afternoon.
Day 5 Today we enjoy a Guided Tour of the
Dingle Peninsula. The most northerly of Kerry’s
peninsular, Dingle culminates in Europe’s
westernmost point, beyond which lies only the
Atlantic Ocean and America. Rugged and
remote, with hidden sandy coves, the Dingle
Peninsula is a photographer’s delight.
Day 6 We depart our hotel and commence
our journey back to our overnight hotel in
Waterford. We stop at the historic city of Cork
to enable you to explore and purchase
refreshments. In addition to several shopping
