Turkey & Tinsel at Littlecote House<br />
Littlecote House on the borders of the Cotswolds is a superb Grade 1 listed<br />
16th century Tudor mansion in a spectacular setting. Hosting Tudor<br />
monarchs, Civil War captains and Regency nobles, it was here that Henry Vlll<br />
courted Jane Seymour. It has an awe-inspiring Great Hall, Cromwellian<br />
chapel and spiral Jerusalem stairs leading to the troops’ quarters and Long<br />
Gallery. There is 113 acres of land, 40 of which are gardens, which includes<br />
the Lime Tree Avenue and a spectacular topiaried yew avenue. There is also<br />
a unique Roman Orpheus mosaic and remains of the villa in its grounds.<br />
Day 1 After our local pick-ups we travel to<br />
Newbury for lunch and shopping time before<br />
we continue our journey to Littlecote House.<br />
Day 2 After breakfast today we will go on a<br />
festive scenic drive with on board treats.<br />
Day 3 We spend the day at the hotel<br />
today and make the most of all the hotel<br />
has to offer. Alternatively why not join us on an<br />
optional excursion (not included in the tour<br />
price). After dinner, another great evening of<br />
Warner entertainment follows.<br />
Day 4 Today we travel to Bath to soak up the<br />
festive atmosphere at the award winning Bath<br />
Christmas Market. Each year the centre of<br />
Bath is transformed into a magical Christmas<br />
shopper’s paradise. There are over 170 chalets<br />
packed full of gorgeous Christmas gifts that<br />
line the streets surrounding the Roman Baths<br />
and Bath Abbey. Soak up the sights, smells<br />
and sounds as you wander around the market;<br />
we guarantee the aroma of warming mulled<br />
wine and freshly baked mince pies, enjoyed<br />
with a generous sprinkling of cheering carols<br />
will get even the biggest of humbugs into the<br />
Christmas spirit! Bath has plenty to offer<br />
outside of the market too, including stunning<br />
architecture, top restaurants and the UK’s only<br />
natural thermal spa you can bathe in. Come<br />
Christmas, the city is abuzz with fantastically<br />
festive things to do or visit Bath Abbey for a<br />
Christmas carol service.<br />
Day 5 After a leisurely breakfast our homeward<br />
journey will include a mystery destination where<br />
you can purchase lunch.<br />
