NCFA 2016 SCREW OPEN GOLF OUTING<br />

The 2016 NCFA Screw Open returned to Valleaire<br />
Golf Club in Hinckley, Ohio for the third consecu-tive year<br />
and the event was again a great success. The weather<br />
was very warm, the beer was ice cold, and the Winking<br />
Lizard provided a delicious lunch and dinner for the 70<br />
golfers that spent an afternoon helping to raise money for<br />
the NCFA Scholarship Program.<br />
Although there was some rain it<br />
did nothing to dampen the spirits<br />
of all involved.<br />
The Buckeye Fastener team,<br />
after finishing runner up for<br />
the past 2 years, finally broke<br />
through and won the event with<br />
an 18 hole score of 48. Team<br />
Stelfast finished in 2nd place two<br />
strokes behind the winners. The<br />
winning 4-some of Larry Kelly, Tim<br />
Morgan, Jim Costello and John<br />
Mosley split a cash prize of $200<br />
and received trophies donated<br />
by Solution Industries. Team<br />
Stelfast made up of Todd McRoberts, Kevin Sand, Paul<br />
Ferko and Mark Dively took home the 2nd place cash prize<br />
of $100.<br />
There were a few individuals awarded for their skill<br />
shots during the afternoon round as well. John Radel from<br />
Solution Industries belted out the longest drive on Hole #12<br />

while Dan Jaram of Brighton Best stuck his shot on Hole #8<br />
closest to the pin to take home that prize. There were also<br />
4 skins awarded at the end of the round – not surprisingly<br />
the winning team of Buckeye Fasteners won 2 of them while<br />
the teams from Erieview Metals and INXSQL each won 1<br />
skin. Finally, LEP Special Fas-teners won the coveted 30<br />
pack of Busch Lite beer donated<br />
by FCH for having the highest<br />
score of the round.<br />
All golfers and non-golfers were<br />
then invited to the pavilion for<br />
a dinner of St Louis Ribs and<br />
BBQ Half Chickens grilled by the<br />
Winking Lizard – everyone did<br />
their best to ensure the keg of<br />
beer was floating before dinner<br />
had even ended.<br />
The NCFA would like to thank<br />
