CITAM PARKLANDS REPORT
We are looking forward to 2016 with great anticipation
of the Lord’s move and open doors in all areas of our
lives as children ministry.
At Parklands Children ministry, its children transformed
to transform the society!
Youth Ministry
A single word to describe young people in Parklands
in the year 2015 is growth. It was both numerical
and spiritual growth. This was brought about by
the introduction of the Safari. There was dynamic
teaching of the Enter and Encounter One stages. The
spiritual growth was further enhanced by formation of
small groups among all the young people.
The teen’s church met every Sunday with
inspirational teachers, who addressed various
emerging contemporary issues affecting our young
people. High scholars and university students
were also not left behind in their spiritual growth.
There was a great blending of the age groups
that brought spiritual growth. Mentorship was also
inculcated by experienced youth adults’ workers.
Over 100 young people gathered for worship every
Sunday with over 250 attending Sunday services
during the school holidays. The year culminated
with a fruitful youth camp in Malindi with over 70
young people attending.
Men’s and Women’s Ministries
At Parklands, the core business for every person/
department is to reach out to the Asian community.
During the year, men organized a very successful
outreach to the Asian business men and women by
hosting them for a dinner. About 80 Asian business
men and women attended the dinner. Men also
continued to strengthen their relationships/bonds
by attending for their monthly fellowship. Women
ministry experienced an incredible growth from less
than 50 women attending their monthly fellowship to
over 80 women. Various themes were addressed
both by internal and external speakers. As a way to
reach out to the Asian women, the WM organized a
cookery class that attracted over 15 Asian women.
This year our ladies intend to start English classes for
the Asian ladies as a tool for evangelism.
Asian Ministry
CITAM Parklands’ dream is to reach out to the
Asian community with the gospel of the Lord Jesus
(Indians, Chinese, Koreans, and Pakistan)
Our outreach motto is dubbed “Friends of Asia”. Our
mission is To Disciple every Believer for Ministry with
emphasis on Asian Outreach. During the year, we
created a Missions and Outreach Team (MOT) whose
core mandate is to spearhead the outreach activities
in the Assembly. It comprises of representatives from
Children, Youth, Men, Women Ministries and some
members of the Advisory committee.
Some of the major highlights of the Asian outreach
include two Asian estate Sanghats (Fellowships)
which attracted over 200 Asians. These events
boosted the growth of the small groups among the
Asian community. In 2015, we baptized one Asian
lady and around 7 Asians got enrolled as new
registered church members. The number of the Asian
families attending our Sunday services on a weekly
