CITAM NAKURU SCHOOL REPORT
Introduction
We thank God for taking us through 2015. It is hard
to believe how quickly this year has passed. Our
theme “A school where everybody is somebody”
enabled us to plug and glue in learners and parents
who were able to realize unity in its diversity.
New Enrolment
Enrolment steadily rose from 13 learners to 52 by
the close of 2015. It was encouraging and fulfilling
to see parents transfer children from other schools
to our school. 2016 looks very bright for us in terms
of enrolment.
Academics
Academically the school posted a remarkable
improvement. As a way of testing the waters, we had
joint Kindergarten exams with our neighbouring schools.
In a pool of five we emerged position two overall. The
foundation is being laid firm and by God’s grace we will
be able to produce our own academic pedigree brand.
Co-curricular Activities
Our learners participated actively in several activities.
With the help of Rev. Makena, we were given church
airtime to present to the congregation an item twice
every term. The learners displayed their prowess in
public speaking, music, playing of instruments just
but to mention a few.
The launch of CITAM Schools African Day was
a success. This gave the learners and parents an
opportunity to celebrate and appreciate different
cultures from different Kenyan communities.
Way Forward
Our blue print plan has been well designed to
ensure that:
a. We retain all the learners as we aim at increasing
learner’s enrolment.
b. Team up with like-minded academic institutions
to help us remain academically competitive.
c. Raise our revenue through increased learner
enrolment.
Conclusion
I would like to thank you all for your help, support
and interest this year. We had a very busy and
successful year in school, and you as partners in
the education of your children deserve much of the
credit for that.
There might be setbacks and sometimes false
starts. The road might be steep, long and bumpy.
We may not get there in one term or even a year.
But, CITAM Schools-Nakuru has never been
so hopeful than we are. We promise you, as an
institution we will get there.
