Preamble
Under the theme Living worth the call in my generation
drawn from Eph 4:1, the church experienced a great
move of God. We began the year with a series on the
Blessed Holy Spirit. Many people experienced the
infilling of the Holy Spirit while others were refreshed.
This was followed by another series on the power
of the cross. We also launched the safari, Enter and
Encounter 1 stages. We also had a great series on end
times. Through the pulpit ministry alone 150 people
came to know Jesus as personal Lord and savior.
The congregation experienced tremendous growth
in terms of income evidenced by a 21% increase.
We continue to experience strain on all our facilities
occasioned by growth in numbers. The youth and
children ministry received a major boost with the
arrival of Pastor George Murichu and John Gatheca
respectively. Pastor Evans Agoya was transferred to
CITAM BuruBuru.
Children’s Ministry
The ministry held DVBS in august 2015 whereby
about 2500 children attending daily. The theme was
unblocking the ancient wells. Many children made
a commitment to follow Jesus. On 7th November
we had a successful prayer day whereby over 400
children gathered to pray for the move of God in our
families, peace and prosperity of our country, God’s
blessings over His Church and peace of Africa and
world. The HOPES camp which is aimed at equipping
preteens with life skills to navigate through teenage
hood was held later in the month. 110 teenagers
graduate to the teen’s church. In partnership with the
mission department, the children ministry conducted a
Christmas outreach at Nakumatt prestige. The children
ministered through Christmas play, memory work,
songs and the word. Several children came to the Lord
Finally the children ministered in the Citizen TV, Rauka
show through songs, memory verses and Bible stories.
Throughout 2015 we were able to minister to over
6,000 children on a weekly basis. Through this open
door, we were able to minister to children who go
to schools but do not go to church on Sundays.
It’s also a wide open door to reach out to Muslims
children. The entrance of the word to the school has
transformed the pupils. The teachers have reported
improved discipline and better performance.
Youth ministry
The young people experience growth
in depth. In April during the young
people ministered powerfully while
in November, the Teens Church
received 90 pre-teens from
the Children’s Ministry who
concluded the HOPES
