On the occasion of your 25th anniversary
celebration with the theme: Immanuel,
Celebrating the Goodness and Faithfulness
of the LORD, I give thanks to the God
of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who is
also the God of the Methodist Church
Ghana, which gave birth to the Tema
Diocese, TemaObenyaade Circuit and
the Immanuel Society at Community 11,
Tema, which started in a wooden structure about 25
years ago, at the Old site of the Tema Methodist Day
Senior High School at Community 11, Tema, with
members from Bethel Society (Tema North Circuit),
St. Paul Society (Tema Circuit) and other Methodist
Societies within and outside the Tema Metropolis.
I also thank God for the contributions made by the
Past Bishops, Past and Present Synod Secretaries, Lay
Chairmen, Superintendent and Circuit Ministers,
Leaders and all members, who have contributed (both
in cash and kind) towards the growth
of Immanuel Society, Com. 11, Tema.
25 years in the life of a Church means
a lot. It also testifies to the mercies and
graciousness of God upon the lives of the
members who always sacrifice their time,
energy, wealth and pleasure for the spiritual
and numerical growth of Immanuel Society.
Surely, your labour will not be in vain.
My dear Christian friends, during this
celebration, let us remember that, “In
the providence of God, Methodism
was raised to spread scriptural Holiness through the
land by the proclamation of the Evangelical Faith
and declares its unfaltering resolve to be true to its
divinely appointed mission.” (The Constitution and
Standing Orders of the Methodist Church Ghana)
As you might be aware, the VISION of the Methodist
Church Ghana is “To Build a Vibrant, Spirit-Filled and
