“French luxury fashion house, Kenzo was the concept of<br />
fashion student, Kenzo Takada. The Japanese designer<br />
travelled to Paris in the early sixties to inspire the world of<br />
fashion with his take on luxury clothing.<br />
His foray into women’s fashion saw him take inspiration<br />
from his Asian heritage and the prominent European<br />
fashion houses and created his first boutique ‘Jungle Jap’ in<br />
Paris during the seventies.<br />
Kenzo grew into one of the most sought after brands in<br />
fashion going on to produce men’s fashion, perfumes, and at<br />
the turn of the century, housewares. After retiring, Takada<br />
passed the torch and the brand currently has Humberto<br />
Leon and Carol Lim as creative directors. The American duo’s<br />
leadership has seen the brand stride into its place as a luxury<br />
contemporary brand and a must have in your wardrobe.<br />
