Be Inspired to Live Green<br />
Thinking green is a relatively recent and certainly<br />
welcomed trend. But for <strong>Minto</strong>, environmental<br />
stewardship has always been part of our mandate.<br />
As far back as <strong>the</strong> 1970’s, we were leading <strong>the</strong><br />
way with energy-wise homes. Our commitment<br />
to “thinking green and living greener” propelled<br />
us to be <strong>the</strong> fi rst large scale developer to off er<br />
R-2000 standards to new home buyers.<br />
Fueled by our determination to fi nd a better<br />
way, we have made huge strides in reducing our<br />
impact on <strong>the</strong> environment. In <strong>the</strong> 1990’s, we took <strong>the</strong> bold move of retrofi tting<br />
building systems in our older residential high rise buildings to measurably<br />
improve energy effi ciency and water conservation. Our ‘green’ approach continuously<br />
proves that proactive eco-inspired initiatives benefi t our customers<br />
while lessening our environmental footprint.<br />
Creating healthy, sustainable communities begins with <strong>Minto</strong>, but <strong>the</strong> most<br />
signifi cant impact can <strong>the</strong>n be made by <strong>the</strong> people living in our communities.<br />
