Ely's Eel Festival
It’s that time of year again where Ely pays homage
to the humble eel and celebrates its origins for a
whole weekend of eel-packed excitement! This
unique festival is must for a Spring Bank Holiday
visit. Eel Day takes place on the Saturday, whilst the
Food & Drink festival brings lots of delicious delights to
both Sunday and Monday. Check out their website to see

East Anglian Game & Country Fair
An annual two day, family event at Euston Hall with lots to
enjoy. Activities include holding a bird of prey, driving a mini
electric land rover around obstacles, racing ferrets, taking the
family dog around the agility course, riding a donkey, learning
about a wide range of animals from alpacas to snakes or simply
enjoying watching the arena displays. The main arena has all
sorts going on this year so be sure to find out more over on their
website. On Saturday evening there will be live music and a
BBQ from 6:30pm.

Gin & Gingerbread Masterclass
Varsity’s Six restaurant and rooftop bar in Cambridge has
teamed up with artisan cake maker Fiona McDuff and local gin
specialist, Tom Arnold, to bring you a fantastic workshop
about gin and gingerbread. Guests are invited to learn
about both before enjoying a delicious 2-course
dinner with a view. The hour-long masterclass will
teach you to make your own Spring-themed
gingerbread houses as well as offering an
insight and tasting of various speciality
gins. The session will conclude with a
bespoke gin and gingerbread cocktail!
