WELLBEING DIARY<br />

MONDAY<br />

I always start the day with a 20-minute meditation and<br />

a cup of green tea as it sets me up mentally for the day. I<br />

have been practising this for the last four years and it has<br />

definitely helped me through some challenging times!<br />

Then it’s off for an early morning yoga session at the Boiler<br />

House, this fits in perfectly with my timetable as I head to<br />

the office straight after.<br />

Other days before breakfast, I like to take a walk, I often<br />

combine this with my meditation especially in the summer<br />

taking full adcantage of living in the beautiful Suffolk<br />

countryside. It is the perfect start to the day. I need to get<br />

my body moving be it with an intense workout or a gentle<br />

walk before I can even contemplate eating breakfast.<br />

Breakfast is usually eggs or another protein-based affair.<br />

I save the sourdough for a treat at the weekends. I’m not<br />

saying that this is right for everyone as we are all unique<br />

and need to find what works for us. Usually, it’s another<br />

walk - just a quick ten minutes post-breakfast. This is a<br />

little tip I picked up after spending a week on a bootcamp.<br />

Where possible, I always try to add in a little stroll after<br />

eating every meal.<br />

Mondays always consist of a bootcamp session in the<br />

evening. Working out with a group certainly gives me a<br />

huge endorphin hit! I call it my happy place.<br />

Working out later means that I usually have a late-ish lunch<br />

and post-bootcamp I will grab a snack such as cold chicken<br />

with some carrot sticks and a bit of hummus. I usually find<br />

that I am not really hungry having had my main meal midafternoon.<br />

TUESDAY<br />

Tuesday kicks off with an early morning session with my<br />

PT. I have two sessions a week; one is usually high intensity<br />

with short sharp bursts of working out to my maximum.<br />

This often involves gloves and pads - definitely my<br />

favourite! I am usually buzzing all day afterwards and I still<br />

get all my walks in too!<br />
