About the Authors<br />
Stephen Blank is an internationally recognized expert on Russian foreign and<br />
defense policies and international relations across the former Soviet Union. He is also<br />
a leading expert on European and Asian security, including energy issues. He is a<br />
Senior Fellow at the American Foreign Policy Council in Washington. From 1989-<br />
2013 he was a Professor of Russian National Security Studies at the Strategic Studies<br />
Institute of the U.S. Army War College in Pennsylvania.<br />
Frederick Fleitz is Senior Vice President for Policy and Programs at the<br />
Center for Security Policy. He held U.S. government national security positions for<br />
25 years with the CIA, DIA, the Department of State and the House Intelligence<br />
Committee staff.<br />
Kevin D. Freeman, CFA, is founder of Freeman Global Holdings, LLC, a<br />
specialty consulting firm which shares Freeman's unique understanding of the global<br />
capital markets and their intersection with national security issues. He is considered<br />
one of the world's leading experts on Economic Warfare and Financial Terrorism,<br />
having briefed members of the U.S. House, Senate, present and past CIA, DIA, FBI,<br />
SEC, Homeland Security, the Justice Department, as well as local and state law<br />
enforcement.<br />
Frank Gaffney is the Founder and President of the Center for Security Policy.<br />
Under Gaffney’s leadership, the Center has been nationally and internationally<br />
recognized as a reputable resource for foreign and defense policy matters. Mr.<br />
Gaffney was the Deputy Assistant Security of Defense for Nuclear Forces and Arms<br />
Control Policy from 1983 to 1987. Following that he was nominated by President<br />
Reagan to become the Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security<br />
Policy.<br />
Dr. Daniel Gouré is Vice President with the Lexington Institute, a nonprofit<br />
public-policy research organization headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. He is<br />
involved in a wide range of issues as part of the institute’s national security program.<br />
Dr. Gouré has held senior positions in both the private sector and the U.S.<br />
Government, including the Pentagon. He also holds a Masters and Ph.D in Russian<br />
studies from Johns Hopkins University.<br />
