Law No. (26) of 2007<br />

Regulating the Relationship betwe<strong>en</strong> Landlords and T<strong>en</strong>ants<br />

in the Emirate of Dubai (1)<br />

We, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai,<br />

After perusal of:<br />

Federal Law No. (5) of 1985 Issuing the Civil Code of the United Arab Emirates and<br />

its am<strong>en</strong>dm<strong>en</strong>ts;<br />

Federal Law No. (10) of 1992 Issuing the Law of Evid<strong>en</strong>ce in Civil and Commercial<br />

Transactions and its am<strong>en</strong>dm<strong>en</strong>ts;<br />

Law No. (16) of 2007 Establishing the Real Estate Regulatory Ag<strong>en</strong>cy;<br />

Law No. (26) of 2007 Regulating the Relationship betwe<strong>en</strong> Landlords and T<strong>en</strong>ants in the<br />

Emirate of Dubai; and<br />

Decree No. (2) of 1993 Establishing a Special Tribunal for the Settlem<strong>en</strong>t of Disputes<br />

betwe<strong>en</strong> Landlords and T<strong>en</strong>ants and its am<strong>en</strong>dm<strong>en</strong>ts,<br />

Do hereby issue this Law.<br />

Article (1)<br />

Articles (2), (3), (4), (9), (13), (14), (15), (25), (26), (29), and (36) of Law No. (26) of 2007<br />

Regulating the Relationship betwe<strong>en</strong> Landlords and T<strong>en</strong>ants in the Emirate of Dubai will<br />

be superseded by the following provisions:<br />

Article (2)<br />

In implem<strong>en</strong>ting the provisions of this Law, the following words and expressions will have<br />

(1) Every effort has be<strong>en</strong> made to produce an accurate and complete English version of this legislation. However,<br />

for the purpose of its interpretation and application, refer<strong>en</strong>ce must be made to the original Arabic text. In case of<br />

conflict the Arabic text will prevail.<br />
