Auckland Folk Festival.
It is one of the main celebrations of music, singing and dancing,
which coincides with the anniversary of Auckland Kumeu, in the
last weekend of January.
Waitangi Day
It is celebrated on February 6 of each year. This is the National
Day with which the Treaty of Waitangi, signed by the Maori and
the British in 1840, is honored.
