- They are two base camps, each located on opposite sides of
Mount Everest.
- The South Base Camp is located in Nepal at an altitude of
5,364 meters and the North Base Camp in Tibet at 5,150
meters
- It is the second longest lake in Nepal, located in the district of
Kaski, in the valley of Pokhara.
- Next to it is the city of Pokhara. In an island of the lake is the
pagoda of Barahi.
