NORTH POWDER HUCKLEBERRY FESTIVAL<br />

The locals plan for this all year, picking the<br />

their secret huckleberry patches, and then<br />

preparing all sorts of purple delights. There<br />

is a Purple Berry Parade, crafts, story telling,<br />

dessert contest & tasting, dog agility contest<br />

and lawn mower races.<br />

HELL'S CANYON RAFTING<br />

WALLOWA LAKE LODGE, JOSEPH<br />

TAMÁSTSLIKT CULTURAL INSTITUTE, PENDLETON<br />

Tamástslikt Cultural Institute’s Living Culture Village, a vibrant,<br />

living display of traditional housing forms and Tribal<br />

crafts and culture, is open to visitors June-Oct. From ancient<br />

pit houses to more recent tipis, the village will include<br />

trained interpreters to explain traditional crafts. Tamástslikt<br />

is open 9-5 daily throughout the summer.<br />
