WHAT YOU NEED<br />
• 2 GCSEs at grade 2 (E) or above in both English<br />
& maths.<br />
• We will do an assessment to find out which<br />
course level is right for you.<br />
• A positive attitude and a keen interest in media.<br />
• You will also come to an introductory ‘taster’<br />
session before the course starts, to see if it is the<br />
right course for you.<br />
ABOUT THE COURSE<br />
Learn about creative media, the industry and<br />
delivering a quality media product. Try out different<br />
areas such as digital photography, digital graphics<br />
& photo-manipulation, 2D animation, as well as<br />
TV and video production. You may also go on trips<br />
to the National Science & Media Museum to see<br />
creative media in action and listen to talks from<br />
professionals. Learn skills which help you with your<br />
studies and finding a job, including Personal & Social<br />
Development. You can also gain important Functional<br />
Skills qualifications in maths, English and ICT. As part<br />
of the Foundation Learning offer, this course gives<br />
you an introduction to lots of other subject options<br />
as well as Media.<br />
YOUR FUTURE<br />
After completing your course, you can move on to<br />
the Creative Digital Media Production Level 2 course,<br />
or other Level 2 qualifications such as Business,<br />
Computing or Art. You may also move on to an<br />
apprenticeship.<br />

WHAT YOU NEED<br />
• 2 GCSEs at grade 3 (D), to include English. Maths<br />
must be at grade 2 (E) or above.<br />
Or<br />
• a full Level 1 at Pass grade, plus a GCSE grade 3<br />
(D) or above in English.<br />
• You will have an interview and further assessment<br />
to check the course is right for you.<br />
• In addition, you will need to have a positive<br />
attitude and a keen interest in creative media<br />
production.<br />
• You will be invited to a ‘taster’ session to find out<br />
more about the course.<br />
ABOUT THE COURSE<br />
Are you creative? Interested in film, games, television<br />
and music? You will develop the skills needed to<br />
succeed in this fast-paced and dynamic industry<br />
through a combination of research and practical<br />
projects. Gain skills including animation, videography,<br />
and graphic production using industry standard<br />
software. Experience practical work through<br />
developing posters & videos, and using social media<br />
to promote events in the local area. You may also go<br />
on trips to the National Science & Media Museum to<br />
see creative media in action.<br />
YOUR FUTURE<br />
On successful completion of the course, you could<br />
progress to a Creative Digital Media Level 3 course,<br />
or other Level 3 courses such as Art & Design,<br />
Business or Computing. You could also use the skills<br />
and experience you have gained to find employment<br />
in the Media industry.<br />
